We are NAHI – Nutrition, Agriculture and Health Initiative, an indigenous Non-governmental organization based in Nigeria, dedicated to promoting nutrition through enhanced linkage of agriculture and health interventions.
NAHI was founded in the year 2012 and officially registered with Corporate Affairs Commission the in the year 2013
OUR PURPOSE
NAHI aims to promote food and nutrition security among vulnerable households through enhanced linkage of agriculture and health interventions targeting households.
WHAT WE DO
We design, implement and monitor health and agriculture programs with the aim of contributing to reduction of the burden of morbidity and mortality.
We believe in giving back to our communities through our innovative programs which include, among others:
- Delivery of bi-annual Vitamin A supplementation to children 6 to 59 months,
- Deworming of children; 12 to 59 months,
- Support for small scale women farmers to maximize markets for them and develop the value chain for their produce
WHO WE SERVE
We work among vulnerable population groups particularly children under five years of age, pregnant women in low-income households.
NAHI is committed to building capacities of critical mass of individuals (particularly youth) and organizations to expand the course of promoting improved health and food and nutrition security.

To enhance the ability of vulnerable households to attain improved health status, and improved food and nutrition security.

To link population groups within vulnerable household to health services through innovations while supporting households to achieve improved livelihood through agricultural production and food value chain development.

The main aim of NAHI is improved nutrition and health and to achieve this, the organization focus on the following main objectives:

- To promote health Service utilization.
- To develop capacity of youth for health, nutrition and agriculture engagement.
- To promote effective health communication.
- To foster the development of public health internship programmes.
